Last Friday I had the pleasure of shooting Naomi and Andrew’s wedding at The Stone Barn near Bibury.
Naomi had hired a quaint little cottage just 25 minutes drive from the barn for her and her bridesmaids to get ready in. Naomi’s Mum Jane was the perfect host making sure everyone had everything they needed for what was a very relaxed morning. Charlotte made the finishing touches to Naomi’s hair and tiara and before we knew it it was time to leave for the barn.
It’s the first time I have shot at The Stone Barn and I really hope I get to shoot there again as it’s the perfect setting for a wedding. The Barn itself is surrounded by beautiful scenery and the ceremony room is lit perfectly as is the reception room which has wall to wall windows down one side which provided excellent natural light for the speeches.
Tears were shed as Naomi walked down the aisle with her father Peter and the whole ceremony was put together beautifully with lovely readings, laughter and just pure happiness from Naomi and Andrew as they exchanged vows.
Thankfully the rain held off till later in the day so everyone enjoyed the sun and few glasses of champagne in the gardens whilst we did a few group shots. We left the bride and groom photos till later which worked out perfectly as we were rewarded with some of the most dramatic skies I have ever shot which helped create some pretty stunning pictures.
You will see from the shots below just how entertaining the speeches were, great from start to finish with so many stories and memories from Naomi and Andrew’s younger years and lives together so far.
The party truly got started when the band arrived Mad Dod Mcrea , and they had the dancefloor rocking all night and I think it is safe to say provided the perfect ending to a fantastic wedding.
