Last Saturday I shot Caroline and Andy’s wedding at The Tythe Barn in Launton and for the second week running we were blessed with a beautiful October day.
I met up with Caroline and her bridesmaids whilst they were getting ready at Bicester Hotel and Spa and they were all very excited and ready for the days events. Caroline didn’t appear to have any nerves and it was such a nice relaxed atmosphere whilst everyone was getting ready and of course the champagne was flowing!
Andy and the boys were waiting patiently at the Barn which had a lovely warm feel with all the fairy lights and heaters glowing around the guests whom had already taken their seats. Caroline was walked down the aisle by her very proud father and a few tears were shed as her hand met Andy’s.
It was a lovely ceremony with excellently delivered readings and a solo by one of Caroline’s close friends before everyone went through to the cow shed for drinks and canapes whilst we did the group shots.
I love this time of year, there is so much colour around and I tried to incorporate as much of that colour as I could in Caroline and Andy’s couple photos. Even though the sun was shining it was still a cold day but Caroline was an absolute trooper and really made the most of the shooting time we had before dinner was called.
We even managed to catch the last few rays of light for some bridal party shots before the speeches began. Andy, Caroline’s father and Grant all did a cracking job and Grant had everyone in stitches with his off the cuff comments and stories.
Evening was soon upon us and it was time for Andy and Caroline’s first dance which sure was a lively one and it set the scene for the dancefloor which was one of the best I have seen all year. It was so much fun capturing it all!
Huge congratulations to Andy and Caroline on becoming Mr and Mrs Smith, I can’t wait to show you the full collection but for now heres your sneak peek!
(Big thanks also to Julian Mitchell for assisting and second shooting on the day, great to have you there mate).
