On Saturday I had the pleasure of capturing Rachel and Matt’s wedding at Bisham Abbey.
It had to be one of the hottest days of the year and as I arrived at the Abbey there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the venue looked amazing, covered in flowers from top to bottom. I bumped into Rachel in the car park after she arrived back from the hairdressers and she was full of smiles and excitement for what was going to be a fantastic day.
The ceremony room is beautiful at Bisham Abbey and the natural light just pours in through the front windows, great for photography.
Rachel looked amazing as she walked down the aisle with her Brother, a very emotional moment with many holding back tears as her eyes met Matt’s at the front of the aisle. The ceremony was great with 3 readings from their close friends and family and the room erupted in laughter as the Best Man Chris got down on one knee to produce the rings. Another great moment from a day that was full of them.
With the weather as good as it was everyone enjoyed a drink or two outside whilst we found a patch of shade for the group shots and walked the grounds with Matt and Rachel using the great light to create some stunning portraits of the two of them.
Speeches were before dinner (always the best way in my opinion as the speakers have more of the day to relax) and were perfectly delivered by all with some beautiful and very hilarious moments from Rachel and Matt’s year together since they met at school.
After dinner everyone made the most of the late afternoon sun which was to die for so we did a few more shots of Matt and Rachel down by the Riverside before the band started.
A lovely first dance capped off what was such a great day for Matt, Rachel and all their friends and family. I had a great time capturing it all and truly felt privileged to be a part of it and spend time with such a great couple.
Matt and Rachel, thank you so so much for asking me to capture your wedding day. I hope you have a great time in Mexico and I can’t wait to show you the rest of your images but for now heres your sneak peek!
(Many thanks also to Paula Smart for assisting on the day)
