On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Sharon and Richard’s beautiful wedding at Stubton Hall.

I started the day over at Manor Court Hotel where Sharon was getting ready with her bridesmaids and parents. She was really relaxed and enjoying a few glasses of champagne whilst being pampered. Her dress was gorgeous and the crystals really hit the light well as her sister Anita helped with the finishing touches. Sharon looked amazing and the look on her fathers face as he saw her for the first time said it all.

Leela was busy photographing Richard and his Groomsmen at Kelham Hall Hotel. Richard is super organised and had the morning planned to perfection! Leela captured some fun moments of all the gents getting ready and they arrived at the pub across the road from the church with plenty of time to relax before the ceremony.

The ceremony was held at St James’s church in Dry Doddington which is quite famous for one characteristic as you’ll see below. Sharon arrived in style in a beautiful Aston Martin and had a few moments outside to compose herself before she walked down the aisle with her very proud father Scott.

The ceremony was made to be very personal to Sharon and Richard and they had obviously got to to know the vicar and the church very well over the last few months. There were some lovely stories and readings shared throughout and the Vicar had asked them each three questions of which neither knew each other’s answers. The answers of which provided some great reactions from both Sharon and Richard and their guests. So much fun to capture.

I believe it’s Sharon with the Scottish heritage so as they left the church and made their way outside a bagpipe player came walking along the street to join them which was another lovely surprise. Everyone congratulated the happy couple and threw confetti before we all headed off to Stubton Hall for the wedding reception.

Stubton Hall is stunning inside and out and thankfully the weather held just long enough for the reception drinks to be served outside. We did the group shots next to the water fountains and even had some time with the bridal party to do some lovely shots around the grounds. Sharon and Richard have such a great chemistry they were so much fun to photograph and we were spoilt for choice as to where to shoot.

Sharon and Richard made a great entrance into the wedding breakfast accompanied by the bagpipes with everyone cheering them on. The room looked fantastic with flower candelabras lighting the tables. Each table was named after a special place/restaurant Sharon and Richard had been together and there was a little story behind each one which was another great personal touch.

The speeches were also another highlight of the day with Scott, Phil, Richard and Andrew doing a great job of entertaining the guests with funny stories, pictures and props! You really got the feel for not only how much Sharon and Richard love each other but how close they are to all their family and friends. A perfect end to the wedding breakfast.

There was a short break before the evenings entertainment so we took the time to use some of the inside features at Stubton and provide a few creative shots which I’m sure will look great in the album.

As we entered the orangery there were light up letters on the dance floor spelling the word “LOVE” which was a great backdrop to Sharon and Richard’s first dance as husband and wife. Their guests soon joined them on the dance floor and a live singer kept everyone entertained throughout the evening.

Sharon and Richard, thank you so much for asking me to photograph your wedding. You are such a lovely couple and you made us feel so welcome on the day we felt more like guests! I hope you have an amazing honeymoon. I can’t wait to share some pictures with you so heres your sneak peek storyboard!
