On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Abi and Harry’s beautiful wedding with the ceremony being held at St Mary and St Edburgas Church in Stratton Audley followed by a lovely reception at the Manor Farm Barn in Marsh Gibbon.
I arrived at Abi’s parents house which was buzzing with people, all excited and preparing for the days events. Abi seemed very calm, taking it all in and enjoying being pampered by Maxine Wilson who did a fab job with the girls make up.
Abi looked stunning in her dress and there was many a tear when she walked into the living room to see her father Tony for the first time. Always one of my favourite moments on a wedding day and a joy and privilege to capture.
With the church literally being a short walk away it was also great fun to photograph Abi and her bridal party walking down the road to the church with many people from the village looking on.
The ceremony was great fun with the Vicar Bill full of enthusiasm and funny one liners. Harry and Abi are so lovely together and there were so many little glances, the odd tear and beautiful moments as they said their vows to each other as your see below.
After the ceremony there was a confetti tunnel with probably the most confetti I have ever seen at a wedding, 7 pots full I think Abi said and it made for some great shots both then and when Abi and Harry drove off in a vintage car to big applause from all their guests.
The weather had been perfect all day which meant everyone could enjoy the beautiful grounds back at Manor Farm Barn. It was Pimms O’clock for the guests whilst we did a few group and couple shots under the trees and made the most of Manor’s garden.
It was soon time to head in for the wedding breakfast but first up was the speeches. Abi’s father Tony knocked his father of the bride speech out the park with help from his glamorous assistants (the bridesmaids) by performing a rap about the happy couple. Harry and the Best men also did a great job of telling funny stories, thank you’s, toasts and of course many lovely words about his new wife!
After dinner we had time for some sunset photos in the nearby fields and the sky played ball to help us create some beautiful shots. Harry and Abi are so much fun to be around and were an absolute pleasure to photograph. We even had some microlights flying above to add to the scene.
The last formality of the day was the first dance which performed by the band then out came the glow sticks and it was time to party whilst many guests made the most of the ice cream van outside, yum!
Abi and Harry, thanks so much for asking me to photograph your wedding day. Leela and I had an absolute blast with you both and all your lovely friends and family. I’m sure you can’t wait to see some photos so heres your sneak peek storyboard!
