Another super busy weekend of weddings and it started off with Emma and Matt’s beautiful wedding at Dodford Manor in Northamptonshire.

I met up with Emma and her bridesmaids at Staverton Hotel where they were all getting ready. I met Emma 4 years ago at Natalie and Ryan’s wedding where she was a bridesmaid and it was lovely to see everyone again and join in the excitement. Emma and Matt have two beautiful girls who were flower girls on the day and just so cute in their dresses and flower headbands. Emma was pretty chilled but there were a few tears as she saw her Dad for the first time which was a beautiful moment between father and daughter.

Matt and the boys were busy back at Dodford getting everything set up and putting the finishing touches to the ceremony and reception rooms and everything looked great. So many details, signs, flowers and every guest had a photo as their place name which was a great idea and must have taken ages to put together. The boys got dressed pretty sharpish and were ready to greet the guests ready for the ceremony.

Emma looked stunning as she had an emotional walk down the aisle to meet up with Matt to start the ceremony. It was a pleasure to capture them reading their vows, exchanging rings and signing the register to become husband and wife!

The weather was overcast but warm so everyone headed out into the gardens after a great confetti tunnel down the aisle to enjoy Pimms and canapés whilst we did a few group and couple shots. We had a few battles with the wind but Emma and Matt were great fun as we walked the grounds and got some lovely shots of them both.

It was soon time for the newlyweds to be introduced to start the wedding breakfast and what a cheer they got! A great start to the afternoon’s meal which was soon followed by some cracking speeches which were absolutely hilarious! Once again so much fun to capture.

The weather forecast said sun from 6pm and they were right as the cloud soon broke and we had a sunset to play with. We took the bridal party out for some fun shots and finished with some beautiful portraits of Emma and Matt just as the sun hit the horizon.

To finish off a cracking day all the guests came out to light sparklers and create a tunnel for the happy couple to walk through which was another great photo opportunity and a perfect way to finish a beautiful wedding day.
