On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing Kerry and Daryl’s wedding at the Rochford Hotel. I photographed her sister Lucy’s wedding a few years ago and I was really looking forward to seeing everyone again and capturing all the beautiful moments of Kerry and Daryl’s wedding day.
I started off by meeting Kerry and her bridesmaids at Kerry’s salon, Diamond Beauty which is just around the corner from the Rochford Hotel. The salon was full of excitement with Kerry’s team getting everyone ready with hair and make up. The champagne was flowing and everyone was looking forward to a fantastic wedding day.
Next stop was Kerry’s parents house where Kerry had some lovely gifts for all the bridesmaids and they even had some time to practice their dance routine which was planned for later that evening. Kerry looking stunning in her dress and I loved the moment she came down the stairs to see her bridesmaids for the first time.
Daryl was ready and waiting at the Rochford Hotel with his Best Man and Ushers. He was looking super sharp in his suit and Chris took some great shots of them all together before heading in to start the ceremony.
The ceremony room was decorated beautifully and there was a pianist playing as Kerry and her Mum Melanie walked down the aisle to meet with Daryl and join hands to start the ceremony. It was lovely to capture Kerry and Daryl saying their vows and exchanging rings to become husband and wife. They both looked so happy surrounded by all their close friends and family.
The sun was shining so everyone enjoyed drinks in the gardens whilst we did a few family groups and some couple shots of the new Mr and Mrs around the hotel. Neither of them could stop smiling and it was simply a joy to photograph such a lovely couple.
The reception room had now been turned round and looked amazing with beautiful flower arrangements on the tables and an awesome wedding cake made by Kerry’s sister Hayley and her husband Mike.
The speeches were before the meal and Kerry, Daryl, Brian, Grant and Steve did a fantastic job telling stories of Kerry and Daryl growing up and their time together as a couple. So many great reactions to all the funny moments as you will see below. Such good fun capturing it all.
After the meal everyone had some time to relax in the gardens before the evenings dancing got going which was kicked off with Kerry and Daryl’s first dance as husband and wife. It started with a slow song then spun into Apache “Jump on it” which was great fun and got everyone on the dance floor to get the party started! Later on in the evening Kerry and her bridesmaids hit the dance floor to do a Bollywood group dance which was awesome!
Kerry and Daryl thanks so much for asking me to photograph your wedding. We had such a great time with you both and all your lovely friends and family. I hope your ready this whilst having a great time on honeymoon! I look forward to seeing you both when you get back. Heres your sneak peek storyboard.
