I had a cracking time on Saturday photographing Michelle and Will’s wedding at the Tythe Barn in Bicester. The weather can only be described as wet and sunny. Thankfully for us the rain came at all the right times as did the sunshine!

I met up with Michelle at the Nook which is the new bridal suite at The Tythe Barn. It’s a beautiful place to get ready and Michelle was enjoying being pampered along with her lovely bridesmaids and Mum Maureen. The flower fairies had again worked their magic and the bouquets and table arrangements looked beautiful.

Michelle’s dress was stunning and she looked amazing in it as she walked down the aisle to join hands with Will to start the ceremony. The new fairy lights at the barn added some extra ambience to a really relaxed and beautiful ceremony with readings from friends and family. There were some lovely moments between Will and Michelle as they exchanged vows and I looked capturing it all for them.

Out came the sun which was perfect timing as everyone got to enjoy Pimms and Canapes in the garden along with a few games of jenga, bowling and croquet. I love this time of the day at a wedding, getting to shoot beautiful documentary images of guests and the excitement of the couple having just got married and being congratulated by all the people close to them, pure magic!

After a few group shots it was time for dinner which was an amazing spread put on by Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts. Thanks for ours too guys, most appreciated.

Soon it was time for the speeches which had everyone in fits of laughter as Steve, Will, Joe and Chris did a fantastic job. The Best Men must have been planning theirs for months, so much thought and video editing involved. So entertaining from start to finish.

It’s always great at the barn if you do get a sunset and we were very lucky on Saturday so I took the bridal party out for a few shots on the drive before we headed in for the first dance. Then the party really got started with the live band and I’m sure the dance floor was full for the rest of the night.
