It was so much fun getting to know Natalie and Kevin during their pre wedding shoot in Oxford, they were open to any ideas I threw at them and had plenty of their own which is always a winning combination. I couldn’t wait for their Winter wedding and I just knew they would have so many personal touches that the day would be very unique and full of great moments.
I started the day at Natalie’s parents house which is beautiful and provided a lovely backdrop to Natalie and her bridesmaids final preparations. Natalie has exquisite taste and this showed in her choice of dress, elegant, individual and she looked simply stunning in it, matched with her Jimmy Choos and beautiful bouquet.
Kevin has equally good taste and was spot on with his choice of gift for Natalie, an Anya Hindmarch Purse which doubled up as Natalie’s “Something Blue” and was inscribed with the words “See you at the church, don’t be late” and she wasn’t as Natalie arrived in a classic Austin with her proud father Phil.
Kevin was waiting patiently at the end of the aisle with his best man Neil, looking very smart in their tailored suits and Red ties. The ceremony was lovely and had some personal readings from family and friends, along with hymns and of course the main customs of exchanging vows and rings before everyone braved the cold for a few groups shots before boarding the bus to head over to The Bay Tree Hotel.
The rain held off long enough for us to use the grounds and surrounding areas of The Bay Tree Hotel for Natalie and Kevin’s couple and bridal party shots although there were some lovely spots inside too which included the giant illuminated K and N which was a surprise for Kevin.
After the drinks reception everyone enjoyed a three course meal before the speeches. Phil, Kevin and Neil did a fantastic job and had their guests in fits of laughter and a few tears as they relived past times in Natalie and Kevin’s lives together so far.
After the meal everyone hit the bar and the comedy photobooth where the photos doubled up as guestbook entries before Natalie and Kevin made their way to the dancefloor to get the evening party started!
Natalie and Kevin, thanks so much for asking me to capture your wedding day celebrations, it’s been so much fun getting to know you guys and I can’t wait to show you the full collection of images. I hope you have a great honeymoon and I look forward to hearing all about it. Without further ado Heres your sneak peek storyboard!!
